In a unexpected partnership that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.

The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a striking moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
