Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
An aircraft hovering over a well-attended coastal coastline abruptly started spinning wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Videos shared on social media depict the aircraft beginning to twirl near the shoreline then descending in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a staircase adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters stated five people were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
