The American entrepreneur Dismisses Spurs Buyout Proposal After Approach
The long-serving executive oversaw Tottenham's transition to the club's new home in recent years.
Innovative business leader Earick has ruled out making a formal takeover bid for Spurs.
Spurs had previously “unequivocally rejected” an informal expression of interest from a investment group led by the American last month and maintained the club was not for sale.
But UK takeover and merger rules stipulated that, following an initial approach declined, the group needed to make an offer by late October or declare they would refrain.
Confirmation of the determination was issued in a statement made by the club to the London Stock Exchange, stating the club is “not in an offer period.”
Earick published an snapshot of the statement on digital channels, stating: “I've had a honor interacting with the club and the owners' delegates over the past few weeks.
“I have great respect for the organization, its executives, and its fans, and hope for only the best.”
Spurs' leadership acknowledged the group for its “cooperative stance” in talks and for “acknowledging the clear position” of the shareholders that the club is off the market.
Earick is a former DJ who also served in space technology for the space agency before creating Redacted RnD, which concentrates on innovation, entertainment, sport and entertainment.
His approach was the third approach turned down by the club's board since the abrupt resignation of executive chairman the former chairman in last month.
Earlier in September, the club rejected offers from former Newcastle United shareholder the financier's PCP International and a group led by Kennedy and Ng through the holding company.
Daniel Levy and his family own about 30% of Enic Holdings – which has an majority interest in the club.
He was the English top flight's top-tenured leader and is reported to have received more than £50m during his long tenure in the position.
Yet he was also the target of frequent demonstrations by the club's followers, notably last season as Premier League performances were unsatisfactory.
Tottenham won their initial silverware in 17 years when they defeated the Red Devils in May's continental decider.
